Celebrity Weddings 2011
Reading about celebrity weddings is a guilty pleasure for most women, whether they’re engaged, married, or happily single. They wonder who designed the gown, the size of the ring, all the intimate details of the guest list, ceremony, and reception.
Most brides-to-be and their fiancés don’t have the hefty bank account of an A-lister, but that shouldn’t stop you from planning and having an absolutely fabulous wedding. That’s because it really is possible to have a budget-friendly yet unforgettable wedding ceremony and reception. Turn to the following celebrity weddings from 2011 for a little inspiration!

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth

Loved by many for her roles in Legally Blonde and Walk the Line, America’s sweetheart Reese Witherspoon married Hollywood agent Jim Toth on March 26, 2011 at her 1920s ranch estate in Ojai, California. The gorgeous location, coupled with Reese’s custom-designed Monique Lhuillier blush-colored gown, definitely made those in attendance say, “Wow!” Wow your own wedding guests with candy celebration cakes made from an assortment of brand-name miniature candy bars and other pre-packaged candies. Candy cakes can be custom designed for any occasion, but they make an excellent table centerpiece at wedding receptions. Not only are they a conversation-starter, they’re delicious!

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton

Award-winning country cutie Miranda Lambert exchanged vows with fellow crooner Blake Shelton on May 14, 2011 at the Don Strange Ranch, just north of San Antonio. A Texas wedding seems appropriate for the country music superstars and Miranda reportedly said “I do” while wearing her mother’s wedding dress. The couple’s 550 wedding guests included headliners like Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, and Kelly Clarkson. Whether your wedding has 550 guests or just fifty, a custom wedding sign-in book is an excellent way to create memories that will last a lifetime. Personalized books can be purchased online.

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince

Supermodel Kate Moss tied the knot with rocker Jamie Hince on July 1, 2011. The beautiful bride wore a vintage-style cream-colored dress designed by John Galliano along with a pair of special wedding shoes personally designed by Manolo Blahnik. That right there is enough to make Carrie Bradshaw herself green with envy, and the shoes included a blue insole as Kate’s “something blue!” After a rather traditional wedding at a village church in England, the happy couple posed for photos before getting into their waiting Rolls Royce to head home for a three-day wedding reception. Yowzers! If that sounds a bit too sophisticated for your taste, why not make your wedding reception lighthearted and fun with a popcorn machine and cotton candy machine rental?

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo

Singer, songwriter, and Jessica Simpson’s ex Nick Lachey proposed to model, actress and TV personality Vanessa Minnillo after years of dating just before her 30th birthday. Now that’s a happy Big Three-Oh!
The celebrity couple announced their engagement in November 2010 and was married on July 15, 2011 in an intimate ceremony on a private island in the British Virgin Islands with just 35 close friends and family members in attendance. A “destination wedding” of this caliber is possible when you’re a former boy-bander and former beauty pageant queen, but a custom candy buffet in tropical colors is a great alternative for most brides and grooms.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

If some lucky fella out there has managed to convince socialite and reality TV star Kim Kardashian to settle down once and for all, it’s bound to be an extravagant affair. Kim is scheduled to marry NBA player Kris Humphries on August 20, 2011. An image of Kim’s official wedding invitation was somehow leaked to the press, and it’s just as fancy as you’d expect an invite to a Kardashian affair to be. If you’re currently hunting for glamorous invites for your own wedding or any other special event, there’s no need to spend a fortune. Discount wedding invitations are budget-friendly and gorgeous—no one will be the wiser!

The Royal Wedding: Prince William and Duchess Catherine

Even K-Dash herself can’t match the hysteria that was caused by the union of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey. Royal wedding souvenirs ranging from dolls and engagement ring replicas to cups and saucers flew off the shelves, and the royal wedding dress is even on display at Buckingham Palace for visitors to admire! Give your wedding the royal treatment with an illuminated chocolate fountain. Your guests will be in awe of the assortment of goodies to dip into warm, flowing premium Belgian chocolate from Sweet Temptations. Yum!

Current Wedding News: “Surprise!” from Oprah

Now that we’ve mentioned what we have to offer, we’d also like to share some exciting news that brides-to-be will love. The popular UK television series Don’t Tell the Bride is coming to America, thanks to OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. The network is currently casting engaged couples that don’t have the funds to put on their dream wedding.
Each episode of Don’t Tell the Bride will focus on one couple’s big day and what it took to make that wedding happen. Oprah loves surprises, which is why it’s no shocker that this show is full of them. In order to participate on the show, the bride and groom have to agree to avoid communicating with each other for three weeks leading up to their wedding ceremony. As a reward, the groom is given $25,000 to plan the entire wedding without any input from his bride. Learn casting requirements and get the full scoop at Bridal Tweet. http://www.bridaltweet.com/profiles/blogs/don-t-tell-the-bride-casting
